Girl Dead, Brother Missing After Getting Trapped By Kankakee River DamA 13-year-old girl drowned and her 12-year-old brother was presumed dead, after they were pulled under by a strong current on the Kankakee River in far southwest suburban Wilmington. Crews were expected to return to the Kankakee River around 8 a.m. Tuesday, and they aren’t optimistic about finding the boy.
