Mayor Resisting Call From Aldermen To Hire 1,000 Cops Next Year
The fight against crime on the streets of Chicago might become a fight inside City Hall. In light of the rise in murders in the city this year, some aldermen challenged the mayor to double the number of new cops he plans to put on the streets next year.
