Byrd-Bennett: 'I Listened ... To Every Bit Of Input' On School Closings
The Chicago Teachers Union has said it won't give up the fight to keep schools open, even after the Board of Education voted to close 49 elementary schools. Chicago Public Schools CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett defended the plan, saying she listened to all of the input on school closings before making her final recommendations.
