Blackhawks Match Offer Sheet for Hjalmarsson
According to the Blackhawks official website, the team has matched the offer sheet for Niklas Hjalmarsson for 4 years and $14 million. Hjalmarsson and Niemi were expected to be priorities for the Blackhawks this offseason and with Hjalmarsson now locked up Bowman can focus his attention on possibly signing Niemi before his arbitration hears on July 29th. Stan Bowman still has a lot of work ahead of him with John Madden, Nick Boynton and Jordan Hendry all up for new contracts.
