Girl, 14, Vanishes From Bucktown School

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 14-year-old girl last seen Thursday at a Bucktown neighborhood school.

Shanayah Cal -- who also goes by Nina, Nani and the nicknames Naya and Rudy -- was last seen Thursday at a school 2235 N. Hamilton Ave., according to a Harrison Area Special Victim's Unit release. Chicago International Charter School, Bucktown Campus is located at the Hamilton Avenue address.

She is described as a 5-foot-5, 170 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion. She is Hispanic and African-American, police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety said.

Cal was wearing a black leather jacket with "Akademiks Wear" written on the back, a navy blue polo shirt with a "CICS Bucktown" logo on the front, khaki pants and a black Nike Jordan gym shoes, according to the release.

She was carrying a black Adidas backpack and she sometimes frequents Holstein Park at 2200 N. Oakley Ave. near the school.
