Driver Hits 2 Cars, Dies On Kennedy Off-Ramp

CHICAGO (STMW) - A motorist died after striking two vehicles Monday night while exiting the Kennedy Expressway at Harlem Avenue.

A 30-year-old man driving a vehicle was exiting the Kennedy Expressway (I-90) at Harlem Avenue about 10:55 p.m when it struck another vehicle, police said.

The vehicle fled the scene of the first crash and the driver lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of Harlem and Higgins avenues, police said.

The driver then struck another vehicle, a fence and light pole in the 7100 block of West Higgins Avenue, police said.

Rylan P. Hook, 30, of an unconfirmed address in Palos Heights, was pronounced dead at 11:45 p.m. at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No one else was injured, police said.

The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
