Suspect In Harvey Triple Murder Turns Himself In

Updated: 11/01/10 4:23 p.m.

HARVEY, Ill. (CBS) - A suspect in last week's triple murder in south suburban Harvey turned himself in to a pastor Friday, according to Harvey police.

Donysha Stovall, 28, her daughter, Clarisma Torrey, 9, and Shaquille Davis, the 16-year-old son of Stovall's boyfriend, were shot and killed around 10 p.m. Oct. 24 in their home in the 300 block of West 151st Place in Harvey.

Stovall's 4-year-old son, Nate, was shot multiple times but survived.

He is the fourth man being held by police in connection with the murders, though none has been charged in the case, Harvey police spokeswoman Sandra Alvarado said.

Three men who were arrested and brought past TV news cameras Oct. 25 remain in custody, Alvarado said.

Blood on the clothes of one of the three men was tested but did not match any of the victims' DNA, a police source said.

Last week, Harvey police said the gunman knew the family, and there was no forced entry.

"Investigators believe that the suspect is not a stranger to the family," said Alvarado. "They believe that he or she did know the family because there was no forced entry into the home."

Harvey Police were also looking into the possibility that the murders may be drug- or gang-related because drugs were found in the apartment and the 16-year-old victim was a known gang member.

Stovall's boyfriend is not a suspect in the killings, police say.

Stovall's father has offered a $5,0000 reward for information leading to the killer or killers.

Charges are expected to be filed Tuesday.
