Water Main Break Floods Part Of Rush

CHICAGO (AP) - Authorities say a water main break flooded part of Chicago's Rush University Medical Center.

Police say there were no reports of injuries and no patients were affected.

Chicago police spokesman Robert Perez says security officers discovered the break around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Perez says flooding affected lower levels of the building and part of the first floor.

Rush spokeswoman Deb Song says the affected building houses outpatient medical practices and is closed on weekends.

She says officials are assessing whether the flooding affected elevators and are pumping water out of the building.
