Diabetic Teen Girl In Need Of Medication Missing

CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are trying to find a diabetic 14-year-old girl who who has gone missing from the Far South Side.

Miyaan Lewis, 14, whose nickname is Mi Mi, was last seen Tuesday in the 11300 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue, according to a Calumet Area Missing Persons alert.

Lewis is diabetic and is in need of her medication, according to the alert. She was wearing a red and black Deron jacket and green, white and pink pajamas. She was wearing navy blue Cadillac gym shoes and was carrying a black, pink and green book bag, the alert said.

Lewis could be disoriented and incoherent. She may also be shaking, sweating and appear to be under the influence of alcohol, the alert said.

She also suffers from seizures. Her right hand is disfigured and her thumb is paralyzed, the alert said.

She has a dog bite on the left side of her face, according to the alert. She is described as black, 4-foot-10, and weighing about 190 pounds. She has brown eyes, brown hair and a medium brown complexion.
