Weekend Work On Red Line In Rogers Park To Delay Riders

CHICAGO (STMW) - CTA riders in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood may have to adjust their travel plans this weekend when track work will force southbound Red Line trains to bypass three stations.

Southbound trains will not stop at the Jarvis, Morse and Loyola stations from 11 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Monday because of tie renewal work, according to a CTA release.

During this time, southbound customers who want to exit at any of the three stations should travel to Granville and board a northbound train to come back, the release said.

Any customers who want to head south from any of the three stations should take a northbound train to Howard where they can catch a train back south.

Northbound trains are not affected, but customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
