Half-Nude Woman Found In Van With Sex Toys, Loaded Gun

NAPERVILLE (CBS) -- Police in west suburban Naperville arrested a half-naked woman who they found in a van, along with a loaded gun and various sex toys.

The woman originally told police that she was changing clothes inside the van at a motel parking lot, but she later confessed that she had left her children in the motel and went to the van to pleasure herself.

Vicki K. Myers, 44, of Texas, was registered at the Red Roof Inn on the 1600 block of Diehl Road in Naperville with her three children when officers spotted her naked from the waist up in the parking lot at about 9:45 p.m. Friday, police said.

"She originally told officers she was changing," Naperville police Sgt. Gregg Bell said, but she later changed her story to say she left the motel and went into the van to masturbate.

"She had some sexual devices in the van," Bell said.

She told police that she had left the kids, none of whom was too young to be left alone, in the room. "That's why she was out in the van doing what she was doing," Bell said.

Myers was charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful use of a weapon for not having a valid Firearms Owner Identification card, Bell said. She told police she thought it was legal to have a loaded pistol in the van, as it is in Texas.

In Texas, it is legal to have a weapon under the seat, but this is not the case in Illinois without an FOID card, Bell told the Daily Herald.

She does not face charges for leaving the kids in the hotel because they were not young enough for this to be a crime, Bell said.
