2 Hit In Head In Evanston Robberies

EVANSTON, Ill. (STMW) - Two people were struck in the head during separate attacks that police in Evanston are investigating.

A person received lacerations to the head after being robbed at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Cleveland Street and Dodge Avenue, according to a release from Evanston police. It was not immediately known what was taken or what injuries the victim suffered.

Early Thursday and not far away from Wednesday's incident, a citizen reported being hit in the head with a bat and robbed at 1:10 a.m. in the 2000 block of Oakton Street near James Park, according to the release.

The victim's cell phone, wallet, and debit cards were taken in the Oakton Street attack, the release said.

Evanston police were not available Thursday afternoon.
