Investigators familiar with the death investigation tell Newsradio 780 that 67-year-old Lawrence Schad was found at the 14th hole lying face-down under an E-Z-GO RXV golf cart.
One report says "there were one- to two-inch tire tread marks on the grass made by the rear tires about one inch behind the rear tires."
A source says investigators were looking at the golf cart to see if there was a malfunction, but that has not been confirmed by police.
The Cook County Medical Examiner says Schad died of multiple crushing injuries and ruled the death an accident.
Skokie Police say the investigation is still going on.
