Hoge: Hossa Helped Off Ice After Collision In Practice

By Adam Hoge -

Blackhawks winger Marian Hossa left Monday's practice and did not return after colliding with teammate Nick Boynton.

The collision left both players lying on the ice for a few moments, but Hossa had to be helped off while appearing to favor his right leg. Boynton stayed on the ice and finished practice.

There was no update on Hossa's status following practice. Head coach Joel Quenneville was not present at Monday's practice because he was in Montreal attending Pat Burns' funeral.

Crawford to start Tuesday

Blackhawks goaltender Marty Turco said Corey Crawford will start Tuesday's home game against St. Louis and added that he has no problem with the decision.

"He should, he's been playing great," Turco said Monday. "He's been playing great all year. He's won a few in a row ... We want to get on a roll. I'm here to win no matter what."

Crawford led the Hawks to two straight wins to close out their west coast swing. Tuesday will be his third straight start in net.
