Man Shot, Car Rammed In Old Irving Park

CHICAGO (CBS) - Police are looking for an attacker who shot a man, then rammed the victim's vehicle with his own, in the Northwest Side's Old Irving Park neighborhood over the weekend.

At 6:30 p.m. Sunday, a man driving a gray vehicle pulled up to a 24-year-old man driving in another vehicle down an alley in the 4000 block of North Kostner Avenue, according to police News Affairs.

The gunman first left the gray vehicle and opened fire into the man's vehicle, shooting him in the abdomen, police said.

The gunman then got back into the gray vehicle and rammed the man's vehicle several times, causing "serious damage" to both vehicles, police said.

The victim was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in an unidentified condition, police said.

No one was in custody as of Monday morning. The motive for the shooting was unknown.
