UPDATED: Missing Autistic Man Found Safe

CHICAGO (STMW) - A 26-year-old autistic South Side man reported missing after not being seen in the Back of the Yards neighborhood for more than a week has been found safe, police reported Wednesday afternoon.

Zerrell Washington was last seen Nov. 29 in the 5600 block of South Laflin, according to a missing persons alert from Wentworth Area Special Victims Unit detectives.

Washington is autistic and has limited speech abilities, the alert said.

On Wednesday afternoon, police reported that he has been found and is safe.
