Crime Takes A Holiday In Naperville

Criminals, evildoers and other miscreants apparently had an off day in Naperville earlier this month.

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (AP) - Naperville had a 24-hour period free of crime reports on Dec. 13.

Police Sgt. Gregg Bell confirmed to The Naperville Sun that there were no crimes reported or arrests on that date. That includes serious felonies like homicides and misdemeanors like shoplifting. Naperville is about 30 miles west of Chicago and has nearly 150,000 residents.

Police in the suburb spent the day busy with traffic crashes and other calls for help from residents.
