Teen Shot, Wounded In Little Village

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A teenager was shot multiple times in the head and critically wounded early Friday in the Little Village neighborhood.

The 18-year-old male victim was shot around 3:30 a.m. Friday at 2653 W. 23rd St., according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro. He had been shot multiple times in the head.

Police were initially on the scene of two addresses -- one on 23rd Street and another in the 2300 block of South Troy Street several blocks west -- possibly connected with the shooting, according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.

The victim was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to Alfaro.

No one was in custody as of 5 a.m., according to Greer.
