EVANSTON, Ill. (STMW) - A man was robbed and slashed in the face by two men as he shoveled snow Sunday afternoon in north suburban Evanston.

About 2:15 p.m., the man was shoveling snow on the 1500 block of Church Street in the near north suburb when two men approached him, demanded his money, then cut his face with an unknown object, according to an Evanston police report.

The victim was then forced into a vehicle and robbed of his cell phone and money, according to police.

The offenders were described as two black males, between 30 and 35, police said. One was 5-foot-7 and 200 pounds, with a cream-colored hooded sweatshirt. The other was 5-foot-6, 180 pounds, wearing a black coat.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.
