Kane Hoping To Be Ready For Blues

(WSCR) - The Blackhawks have had to make due with several injuries this season, including Patrick Kane's ankle injury leaving him out for three weeks. Kane went through a full workout Monday and could be ready for the Blues Tuesday evening.

CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago Blackhawks hope to have star Patrick Kane back in the lineup after missing three weeks with a left ankle injury when they visit the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

He went through a full workout on Monday and, barring a setback, is expected to be ready for the game. That would be another big boost for a team that has won four straight.

Kane has been out since Dec. 5, when he fell awkwardly along the right boards while trying to avoid a check by Calgary defenseman Cory Sarich. The Blackhawks were also without forward Marian Hossa (lower body injury) for 10 games before he returned Sunday against Columbus.
