LifeSource Teams With Blackhawks For Blood Drive
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- LifeSource is teaming up with the Chicago Blackhawks for a holiday blood drive and marrow registry today until 8 p.m. at the Westin O'Hare Hotel, 6100 North River Road in Rosemont.
The slogan of the drive is, "One Goal. Donate Blood. Save Lives."
Blackhawks players will be there to thank donors. And all those who donate will be entered into drawings for Blackhawks tickets and autographed team memorabilia.

If you cannot make it in to donate during the event, you can schedule a donation by calling 1.877.LIFESOURCE (1.877.543.3768).
Blood donors must be at least 17-years-old, 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. There is no upper age limit and most medications are accepted. The donation process takes about an hour.
The bone marrow registry requires a simple mouth swab to determine tissue type and completion of a brief questionnaire. Donors must be between 18–60 years old and sign a form consenting to have your tissue type listed on the registry until your 61st birthday. If you're found to be a match for someone, the donation process is similar to donating blood.
