Police began the chase at 59th Street and California Avenue, onto the Stevenson Expressway, and eventually onto Interstate 355. At that point, Illinois State Police caught up with the car around 71st Street, where the vehicle was involved in an accident.

The driver reportedly suffered minor injuries and was taken into custody.

Police say the woman was released without charges.
