Selig: No Change For 2011 Baseball Playoffs

There has been talk of several changes for the format and rules of the MLB Playoffs. But according to commissioner Bud Selig, there won't be any changes for 2011 playoffs.

"There continues to be fruitful talks about it, but they're definitely off the table for this year,'' Selig told MLB.com. "Really, I think that's what we've been saying all along.''

The "talks" Selig referred to have centered around an increased number of teams in the playoffs, as well as the addition of instant replay.

It's reported that the league is considering adding an additional wild-card team per league, which would increase the total number of playoffs teams from eight to 10.
