Man Arrested After Running Naked From Car

RIVERSIDE, Ill. (STMW) - A west suburban man who allegedly jumped out of a car and stripped naked in the street in Tuesday night's frigid temperatures has been charged with public indecency and public intoxication.

About 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, Riverside police received a 911 call from a frantic woman stating that a man she had been traveling with started to become violent, then exited her car on 26th Street near Riverside.

The caller also said the man was stripping off his clothes as he fled. Officers found the suspect on a parkway in the 400 block of Repton Road, completely naked except for his socks, according to a release from police.

He did not respond to any commands, so was arrested and taken to a hospital for evaluation. Officers reported that he appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic, the release said.

Roosevelt McCray, 29 of Aurora, was released by the hospital and taken into police custody. He faces misdemeanor charges of public indecency and public intoxication, the release said.
