Bright Future For Cutler And Bears

Much like the public opinion of the Chicago Bears has changed over the last 12 months, quarterback Jay Cutler is being looked at much differently as well.

Similar to when he was first brought to Chicago, Cutler now has Bears' fans excited about the future.

"Well I think last week's game against Seattle told us all we need to know," Hall of Fame quarterback, Dan Fouts said on the Danny Mac Show. "I mean, his first playoff experience and he was brilliant. Although that was against a not very good team in Seattle."

Last week, Cutler was 15 of 28, for 274 yards, two passing touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns, no interceptions and a 111.3 quarterback rating.

"Those two rushing touchdowns were as impressive as anything," Fouts said. "But you always want to start your day throwing a bomb for a touchdown. So it was all going the Bears and Cutler's way last week."

On the first drive of the game, Cutler threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to Greg Olsen on third and short. The Bears never looked back from there and won the game easily.

"And [Cutler] will be better next year, and the year after," Fouts said. "After having more experience in the Mike Martz offense. It's a real good future for the Bears and Cutler in this offense."
