The NHL All-Star fantasy draft took place Friday night and a lot of people were hoping to see Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane face each other Sunday. It began to look that way as Toews kept getting skipped over by both teams until Kane finally called his name.

Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews aren’t the only Chicago Blackhawks together on team Lidstrom. Duncan Keith was the No. 4 pick to join Kane and Toews. Shortly after that pick, former Blackhawk Dustin Byfuglien reunited with some former teammates.

Team Staal, being coached by Joel Quenneville, took Patrick Sharp in the No. 15 pick. Jonathan Toews was picked next by team Lidstrom.

After the All-Star draft, Eric Staal had mentioned he was hoping to add Toews to his team and separate him from Patrick Kane. Staal had plenty of chances to pick him, but waited too long.
