Center president David Marzahl says the aim is to make families more aware of the college grants and scholarships available to poor families.
"There's a knowledge gap, and there's some alarming statistics, just about the percentage of people who aren't aware how much need-based aid is available," Marzahl said.
He said to access that aid, students and their families must fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA form. He says students can also get assistance with that.
