Kane Misses Practice, On Pace To Start Wednesday
Patrick Kane has missed the last two Blackhawks' practice as he battles an illness. But there are no signs pointing towards Kane missing a very important game on Wednesday night.
"We're hopeful he'll be able to play," head coach Joel Quenneville said. "I know he felt better today, but the same progress from yesterday to today to tomorrow should be [enough]. He wants to play and hopefully he'll be able to."
Viktor Stalberg took Kane's place in practice, on a line with Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp.
Duncan Keith returned to practice on Tuesday after missing Monday's session with what was described as a "maintenance day."
Corey Crawford will be the starting goaltender for Blackhawks on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Wild.
