Man, 25, Shot Dead In Woodlawn

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are looking for the person who shot and killed a man in the Woodlawn neighborhood Thursday night.

Investigators said around 9:10 p.m. Thursday, the victim was shot several times in the 6100 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, according to police News Affairs.

He was sitting in the driver's seat of a parked vehicle at the time, police said.

The man, Rozelle Phillips, 25, of the 6700 block of South Clyde Avenue, was pronounced dead at 9:56 p.m. at Stroger Hospital of Cook County, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Police are searching for the shooter as the investigation continues.
