CHICAGO (CBS) — It has been common knowledge for some time that President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign headquarters will be in Chicago, but a report Monday has now revealed a more specific location.
A source in the Obama reelection campaign confirmed to CBS 2 Chief Correspondent Jay Levine that the Obama campaign headquarters will be in the Prudential Building, formally called One Prudential Plaza, at 130 E. Randolph Dr.
The south side of the Prudential Building faces Grant Park, where President Obama had his historic victory rally on Election Night 2008. The top floor of the Prudential Building was once the city’s highest.
Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign headquarters were located barely across the street, in one of the Illinois Center office buildings at 233 N. Michigan Ave.
