Man Stabbed In Neck By Girlfriend In South Austin

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was stabbed in the neck Monday night in the South Austin neighborhood, and police say his girlfriend was the assailant.

The man, of an unidentified age, was stabbed in the neck by his girlfriend in the 1100 block of North LeClaire Avenue at 9:30 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said early Tuesday.

The victim was taken in an unidentified condition to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park.

No one is in custody and the motive behind the stabbing is not known.
