Rose Reaches Double-Digit Scoring For 53rd Straight Game
Tuesday night's 19-point effort might not have been Derrick Rose's biggest of the season, but it was his 53rd consecutive game reaching double-digits.
The last time Rose didn't have at least 10 points was on December 15, when the Bulls beat the Toronto Raptors 110-93.
In that game, Rose scored six points and added 11 assists. It was the only game this season that Rose has played in, and not reached double-digit scoring. Rose missed the November 26 game against the Denver Nuggets, a one-point Bulls loss.
On the season, Rose is averaging 25.1 points and 7.9 assists per game, he's the only player in the NBA to rank in the top 10 in each category.
With five games remaining on the season, and a three-game lead over Boston and Miami for the top seed in the Eastern Conference, Rose appears to be the clear MVP front runner, and has been for some time.
