Crain: White Sox Can't Dwell On Early Bullpen Struggles

CHICAGO (WSCR) -- For the most part, things have gone pretty well for the Chicago White Sox this season, but one area of rising concern remains to be the team's bullpen, and closer Matt Thornton.

"It just hasn't worked out too well," Jesse Crain said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "[Thornton] has been kind of unlucky. Obviously, that's the way baseball goes sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't work out the way you want to, unfortunately."

Thornton has blown three saves this season, and most recently on Monday night agaisnt the Oakland A's.

"It's a long season," Crain said. "We're going to be out here a lot...Sometimes it's not going to work out perfectly every time. Hopefully we can get that squared away real soon and turn it around. Obviously we've lost a couple close games...that we could have won. But all we can do is keep going out there and we're definitely going to be a lot better more often that not. We just have to keep our heads up and move on, and not dwell on the past."
