Daley To Be Honored By Cultural Institutions
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- Mayor Richard M. Daley and First Lady Maggie Daley are expected to be honored at an event mounted by officials from the city's cultural institutions.
As WBBM Newsradio 780 Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports, the mayor says he is looking forward to the event. He and his wife are being recognized for 22 years of preserving and revitalizing the cultural institutions that are honoring them.

The mayor's brother, White House chief of staff Bill Daley, will be present at the ceremony.
"He's going to be commenting on me. I want to hear these words. He'll be saying a few words about me – that'll be interesting," Daley said with a laugh.
The comment brought up the topic of whether anyone is planning a roast of the mayor, with notables giving edgier comments.
"I've been roasted 22 years by the media, so I don't know (how much) more roasting I need," Daley said with a chuckle.
