New Eva's Bridal Shop In Tinley Park To Stay Open

TINLEY PARK, Ill. (CBS) -- Eva's Bridal Shop in Oak Lawn was destroyed in a devastating fire, but five months later, a new family business location is established for the long haul.

The owners of Eva's Bridal Shop have announced their new store at 18219 S. Harlem Ave. in Tinley Park will remain open permanently.

Nancy Ghusein, the mother of the owner of the bridal shop, told TribLocal that there had been continuous demand from the new Tinley Park store. The business needs a special approval permit for its space, which is zoned for office use, TribLocal reported.

The Oak Lawn Eva's Bridals, at 4811 W. 95th St., was destroyed in an extra-alarm fire on Nov. 17 of last year.

The third-generation family owned business was an institution in Oak Lawn, but was reduced to a pile of charred debris. Four other nearby businesses were damaged including a Radio Shack and a Chiro-Med, but the fire at Eva's left numerous brides in limbo.

But the Ghusein family has been rebuilding the Oak Lawn bridal store, and it is scheduled to reopen in about six weeks, TribLocal reported.
