Viewers Rushed To Watch Bulls, Blackhawks

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Cable TV viewers rushed to tune in to watch the Bulls and Blackhawks Thursday, and went to bed satisfied as they watched both teams win their playoff games.

The Bulls sustained a 13.7 rating and 24 share on Comcast SportsNet Chicago Thursday night, with the peak viewing rising to a 21.0 rating between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m.

And viewers were satisfied at the end of the game. Derrick Rose scored 23 points, including the go-ahead layup with 17.8 seconds left, to help the Bulls beat the Indiana Pacers 88-84 on Thursday night and take a 3-0 lead in their first-round NBA Eastern Conference series.

Fans also rushed to watch the Blackhawks, who were facing elimination in Game 5 of the NHL Western Conference Quarterfinals. The 'Hawks garnered a 10.6 rating and a 19 share, with the peak rising to a 12.3 rating between 10:30 and 10:45 p.m.

The Blackhawks routed the Vancouver Canucks 5-0 with two goals by defenseman Duncan Keith, and two assists. The Canucks' lead in the series has now been cut back to 3-2.
