FBI Continues Hunt For North Riverside Bank Robber

NORTH RIVERSIDE, Ill. (CBS) -- The FBI is looking for a bandit who held up a TCF Bank branch in North Riverside last month.

The robbery happened on around 5:15 p.m. March 23 at the TCF branch in a Jewel-Osco at at 7201 W. 24th St. in North Riverside, the FBI said.

The robber came up to a teller and handed her a note on the back of a deposit slip. It said the robber was armed and threatened harm to the teller if his demands weren't met, the FBI said.

The bandit got away with an undisclosed amount of money from the teller, and ran off to blend in with the passing crowd, the FBI said.

The FBI describes the robber as a white male between the ages of 40 and 50, standing about 6 feet tall, with black hair and a mustache and beard. He had on black-framed sunglasses, a blue windbreaker, and a baseball cap with a Blackhawks logo on the front.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chicago FBI office at (312) 421-6700.

The FBI first released surveillance pictures of the robber a couple of days after the incident. To see them all, click here.
