Before police were notified Friday morning that the family was found, Owens and her daughters had not been seen since Easter Sunday. She was described as distraught and depressed when she had dinner with a relative, and then drove off with the girls.

Owens left behind a hospital job in Oak Lawn, and last used her credit card in downstate Streator and Canton on Wednesday.

Crestwood police do not know whether Owens and her daughters went on a trip and didn't tell anyone, or if there was some other reason they disappeared.

Stephanie Owens has been taken to a hospital to be checked out.
