Train Hits, Kills Man In Blue Island
BLUE ISLAND, Ill. (STMW) - A man is dead after being struck by a train in south suburban Blue Island Saturday morning.
The unidentified 57-year-old man was dead on the scene at Chatham Street and Thornton Road, according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The spokesman said they were notified about 4:30 a.m. of the death.
A Blue Island police supervisor could not be reached for comment.
