Police Recover Multiple Guns During Execution Of Search Warrant

CHICAGO (STMW) - A suburban man and a woman from Chicago were arrested and five guns were recovered Friday night in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.

The Calumet Area gun team executed a search warrant Friday night at a home in the 6100 block of South Indiana Avenue, according to a release from police News Affairs.

Calumet Area personnel received information about one of the suspects and were able to obtain a search warrant.
A search of the home resulted in the discovery of three assault rifles and two semi-automatic handguns, along with magazine clips and ammunition of various calibers.

A man and a woman were arrested without incident.

Lloyd Turentine, 28, of the 2000 block of W. Prentiss Dr., Downers Grove, was charged with one count of unlawful use of weapon-aggravated/vehicle concealed and was cited with unlawful possession of unregisterable firearms, according to the release.

Misty Woodrick, 29, of the 6100 block of South Indiana Avenue was also arrested and she was cited with unlawful possession of unregisterable firearms.

Turentine was scheduled to appear in court Saturday.
