Inauguration Schedule For Mayor-Elect Emanuel

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The inaugural ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, with a performance of the opening prelude "One Day" by the Chicago Children's Choir.

Afterward, the Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Chicago International Charter School student DeJuan Brown, and Lane Tech High School Junior Reserve officers will post the colors.

Heather Headley will lead the National Anthem, and Francis Cardinal George will recite the invocation.

At 10:40 a.m., city Clerk Susana Mendoza will be sworn in by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke.

The City Council will be sworn in at 10:45 a.m.

Afterward, a prayer will be led by Imam Kareem M. Irfan, President of the Council of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago, and Innovations High School senior and 2011 poetry slam competition finalist Chanel Sosa will deliver a poetry reading.

At 11:05 a.m., city Treasurer Stephanie Neely will be sworn in by Cook County Circuit Court Judge Shelli Williams Hayes.

Then a prayer will be delivered by Pastor Charles Jenkins of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, and violinist Clarissa Bevilacqua will perform "America the Beautiful."

At 11:15 a.m., Mayor Rahm Emanuel will be sworn in by Cook County Circuit Court Chief Judge Timothy Evans.

He will deliver his inaugural address immediately afterward.

Finally, the Chicago Children's Choir will perform "We Are" as a musical interlude, Rabbi Jack Moline of the Agudas Achim Congregation will lead the benediction, and the Children's Choir will sing "Wavin' Flag" as a postlude.
