The woman tried to stop Myer, and before he fled the store, Myer broke bones in the woman's hand, police said.

A store employee pursued Myer out of the store, and caught and held him until police arrived.

Myer is charged with strongarm robbery, and is due back in court June 20 at the Skokie Courthouse.
