Police Release Surveillance Photos Of Suspects In Red Line Robbery
CHICAGO (STMW) - Chicago police have released surveillance photos of three suspects who police believed attacked and robbed a 35-year-old Evanston man -- rocker Billy Corgan's brother -- aboard a CTA Red Line train Thursday.
The photos capture three of the five suspects in the strong-arm robbery, which occurred aboard the train early Thursday morning near Chicago Avenue and State Street.
In a bulletin Saturday, police urged residents to be careful in light of the recent robberies.
People should walk with a companion or group whenever possible; remain aware of their surroundings, especially when using a cell phone; and report suspicious activity immediately, giving a detailed description to police of the suspicious persons, police said.
Anyone with information about the offenders are asked to call Belmont Area detectives at (312) 744-8263.
