CHICAGO (STMW) – The remains of a teenage girl were found inside a cloth bag Wednesday afternoon in the Roseland community. Sources said her hands and legs were bound together.

The remains of the girl were discovered about 4:20 p.m. in the 10000 block of South Normal Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety, citing preliminary information.

Sources said the teenage girl had her hands and legs duct taped together.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said the teenage girl was pronounced dead at 6:10 p.m. on the scene. She remained unidentified Wednesday night.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, the medical examiner’s office said.
