CBS 2’s Susanna Song reports near Cumberland Avenue and Golf Road in Des Plaines, a tall, thick tree was ripped down. The tree was so big that it nearly hit the house just behind it.
CBS 2’s Kris Habermehl reports the campus of Downers Grove South High School, 1436 Norfolk St., sustained damage to its sports fields.

The storms did plenty of damage at O’Hare International Airport. High winds tore off roofs and damaged a United aircraft.
