Boy, 7, Found Safe After Vanishing From Roseland Home

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 7-year-old South Side boy has been found safe at a friend's home, after disappearing Tuesday night.

Police News Affairs officers say Alonzo Powe was located safely the a friend's home, and has been reunited with his family.

As WBBM Newsradio 780's Nancy Harty reports, Alonzo Powe had not been seen since around 8 p.m. Tuesday, when he disappeared a block away from his home near 109th Street and King Drive in the Roseland neighborhood.

Further details were not available as to how Alonzo, who goes by the nickname Woodie, went missing.
