Teen Shot And Killed In West Englewood

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in the West Englewood neighborhood early Sunday morning.

Police said that officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 6900 block of South Oakley Avenue at 12:35 a.m. Sunday and found a teenage boy lying on the ground.

Marshaun Taylor, of the 6900 block of South Bell Avenue, had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, the Cook County medical examiner's office said. An autopsy is scheduled for later Sunday.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody early Sunday.
