Man Shot Dead Near South Side Housing Complex

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are looking for suspects after a man was shot to death near a low-income housing complex in the South Side's West Woodlawn neighborhood.

The shooting happened just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Parkway Gardens Homes, at 64th Street and King Drive.

The victim was shot once in the neck, police said. He was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital of Cook County, police said.

He is identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as Odee Perry, of the 10900 block of South Racine Avenue.

The Parkway Gardens development is a privately-owned low-income housing development, located along King Drive between 63rd and 66th streets.

No one was in custody in the deadly shooting as of Thursday morning.
