Home Invaders Tie Up Glenview Couple, Steal $60K In Jewelry

GLENVIEW, Ill. (CBS) -- Police in Glenview are looking for two home invaders, who tied up a couple in their 70s and stole about $60,000 worth of jewelry.

Around 9 p.m. Monday, Glenview police learned of a home invasion in the Cloisters condo complex, in at 1625 Waukegan Rd. in Glenview.

Two men, one wearing a mask and carrying a handgun, pretended to be delivery men to get into their home, police said.

Once the suspects were inside, they tied up the victims in another room, and took $60,000 worth of jewelry, police said.

The victims were able to maneuver their way out of their bindings and call police. They were not injured.

Police did not provide a description of the home invaders.
