Toeaina Down With Knee Injury

(CBS) Bears defensive tackle Matt Toeaina will likely miss the next two games after he sprained his posterior cruciate ligament in the fourth quarter of Monday's loss to the Lions.

If Toeaina misses the next two games, he will then have an extra week off with the Bears bye-week.

Toeaina's injury could create an opportunity for second-round draft pick Stephen Paea.

"We have other players and there's a rotation you go through," coachLovie Smith said. "Sometimes it's hard for you to get an opportunity. But injuries … I've never seen a situation where a player that deserves to play didn't get an opportunity to.

"Stephen has to just continue to do what he's been doing: going to work, practice, improving. He'll get his opportunity. Again, we're still as high on him as we've been. It's just that there's been other guys before him."
